 Petrotrade Philippines, Inc. (PPI) was organized in 1991 to meet the need of the bunkering market for a reliable and trustworthy company that provides top quality bunkering services in the Philippines. Propelled by a management team drawn together by a common objective and a strong desire to excel, PPI has become the foremost physical bunker supplier and trader in the country. Through its years of successful operations, PPI has developed solid business partnerships with prestigious shipping companies and reputable bunker traders across the globe. With its own fleet, Petrotrade services all ports in the Philippines. This fleet is supported by ten barges, six tankers and three tugboats owned and operated by PPI?s affiliate companies- Herma Shipping and Transport Corporation (HSTC), and Herma Shipyard, Inc. (HSI). Petrotrade was also the first to introduce 24-hour deliveries, further expanding its capacity and reach.
Petrotrade is a member of the Herma Group of Companies, a multi-service company that has established itself in an enviable position as the leading service provider in the petroleum marine transport industry in the Philippines. A decade after its birth, Petrotrade has become synonymous with bunkering in Philippine shores.

Petrotrade has steered itself to be the country's leading supplier of bunkering services through the leadership of Mr. Herminio S. Esguerra, the company's Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. With him are some of the most distinguished names and emerging leaders in the petroleum and maritime industries:
 Mr. Herminio S. Esguerra, Founder, Chairman, & Chief Executive Officer Mr. Herminio S. Esguerra is owner, founder, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of eight other companies ( petroleum shipping, shipyard, port and terminal operations, waste management and breeding farm) that comprise the Herma Group. Petrotrade, the bunkering company, was one of his core businesses. Armed with his experience in the petroleum trade coupled with a keen understanding of the logistical needs of maritime owners, through Petrotrade, he established a track record of sound operational management, reliable professional service and continuing innovation in the business of bunkering in the Philippines. A man with a vision and untiring entrepreneurial spirit, he continued to chart new courses. The proof of Mr. Esguerra's leadership resulted in his steering a one barge bunkering operation to a Group of companies that is now a name in providing petroleum, maritime and environmental services. His active involvement and advocacy for environmental care and protection has spanned his career not only in the field of business but the social, public and national sectors as well. Today, after two decades, while he is still very active in top management, he is a charismatic and persistent coach, determined to prepare his people well in the management of their organization.
 Mr. Benedict Julius F. Ibuyan, Managing Director Mr. Ibuyan handles Petrotrade's Singpore, Korea, and Europe accounts, having risen quickly from the ranks since he began working for Petrotrade as a management trainee in 2002. Holding a degree in Legal Management, with a minor in Philosophy from the Ateneo de Manila University, Mr. Ibuyan is a civic-minded individual and athlete who brings energy and passion into his work.
 Mr. Jose Exiquel A. Esguerra, Operations Head Mr. Esguerra handles Petrotrade's Japan, Hong Kong, and domestic accounts, having acquired critical management and technical skills at a young age. He obtained a Certification for Technical Specialization in Mechanics together with his high school diploma at the Don Bosco Technical College, after which he completed a Business Administration degree, with a major in human resource management, at the DLSU-College of St. Benilde.
Under their management, Petrotrade has captured almost 80 percent of the bunkering market in the Philippines, operating in the Philippines? major ports and gaining access to even some of the country?s innermost islands.
